Salamander success at training session
Posted on October 2, 2015
This week, the experts at Geofire held the first of many Salamander training sessions.
The Salamander system is a set of radio controlled, wireless fire door holders and closers manufactured at Geofire’s factory in County Durham.
The session, held in the Midlands, educated fire and security professionals on various hold open systems for self-closing fire doors and explained why they are used. The training also provided an update to the BS 7273-4 code of practice.
Held by Research and Development Manager, Nick Goddard and Sales Manager, Steve Kew, the training gave an introduction to the Salamander radio controlled technology and guided users through the steps of installation.
Nick Goddard said: “We ensure all of our Salamander installers are fully trained because it is important to us that the systems are installed correctly and in working order for the end user. The training is a way for us to ensure all of the professionals are confident at every stage of the installation, from conducting a site survey to commissioning, for any size of building.”
If you would like to take part in one of our Salamander training days, please email: enquiries@geofire.co.uk or call +44 (0)1388 770 360.
