Geofire expands production to SG India facility in Bangalore
Geofire, a leading player in the fire safety industry, has recently made a strategic decision to relocate the manufacturing of several key products to its 100% owned British Engines Group facility in Bangalore, India.
Geofire will now produce the following fire safety products at its SG India facility:
Type 87 Doormouse; A reliable and efficient door holder designed to prevent doors from slamming shut during fire incidents. The Type 87 Doormouse ensures safe evacuation by holding doors open securely.
Type 59 Conquest; Geofire’s Type 59 Conquest is a robust fire door holder that combines functionality with aesthetics. It provides reliable fire door control while maintaining an unobtrusive appearance.
Agrippa acoustic fire door holder; Geofire’s Agrippa acoustic fire door holder uses innovative technology to hold fire doors open legally and safely.
The 7,000 square feet manufacturing facility is equipped with identical CNC capability and cutting tool technology, plus rigorous quality control measures that are time proven in our UK facility. This ensures that our fire door retainers meet the required standards.
Both the UK and India facilities are audited and approved by Bureau Veritas for ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001 and Warrington Fire for the EN1155 FPC. All products are CE marked for the SG India manufacturing facility.
In the next few months, Geofire will work to adopt the change in any labelling requirements for the Country-of-Origin. This adjustment ensures transparency and compliance with regulations.
Geofire’s expansion to SG India not only strengthens its global presence but also underscores the company’s commitment to delivering reliable fire safety solutions worldwide. With identical quality standards and cutting-edge technology, the SG India facility is poised to contribute significantly to Geofire’s continued success.
